What is Leadership Collierville?

Leadership Collierville is designed to develop well-informed, effective leaders in Collierville.  Our program helps participants become more aware of issues that impact our town not only by providing dialogue and interaction with key decision-makers from our local government, but also from the businesses and non-profit agencies that help enhance Collierville.

We encourage our participant leaders to build relationships and network with other community leaders to help build a base for working on community projects together.

Our well-informed graduates hold positions on many community boards and commissions, including government, businesses, non-profits and foundations.  Initiatives such as Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, Main Street Collierville, the Collierville Literacy Council, and the Page Robbins Adult Day Care Center along with many others, have been spearheaded by Leadership Collierville graduates.

Leadership Collierville has a nine-month adult program beginning in September and ending in May.  Our monthly class days provide a broad education on local, county and state government; education and our schools; public safety; businesses and local economics; diversity training; and community development.

We also encourage team building, examining innovative strategies for resolving community challenges and various leadership styles and networking.  Since 1994 we have graduated 350 participants in our adult program and 250 high school students from our Youth Program.

Leadership Collierville is a non-partisan, non-profit community organization founded in 1994.  Applications are accepted in August for the adult and youth program. For further information call Terry Dean, Program Director, at 853-1949.
